Hello! I'm Abbie!

LIVING 2 LIVES: Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent years working in corporate media and big data, creating marketing solutions for movie studios and major brands here in Los Angeles. It was one of the most invigorating times of my life. I found myself being constantly captivated by how the major studios and top global ad agencies decorated, both the office decor and the fun pop art in personal offices. It made me feel so much joy inside. I thought, "I think I'm in the wrong career." In 2019, slowly and secretively, I started making my own pop art on the weekends along side my son.

HOW DID YOU GO FROM A CORP CAREER TO MAKING ART: Little did I know my life would drastically change. I personally had an incredibly rough time between extreme brain fog, long covid kicking in, existing ADHD and unknown Perimenopause symptoms. Perfect storm, right? My brain felt like it had exploded. I was a panicked mess. Art was the only thing that would soothe my brain. I was terrified of this unknown transition. I felt like Spiderman after he was bitten by the radioactive spider. Except this morphing lasted years. The most effective remedies were Magnesium, Vitamin Bs and HRT. (Ladies, Do NOT wait on the HRT- it is glorious). Ok back to the story...

MY ART EXPlOSION: As part of my healing, I turned to art and I experimented with all types. Some of my assemblage art is for the Maximalist! You'll have to check my IG for those treasures! My son refuses to let me sell most of them (I adore them too) so I have digital images I'm using of my art. The Yoga Ladies is a real piece from the early days.

MY BRAIN NEEDED PINK: I craved bright colors, joy, and whimsical vibes. As you will see, I also have beautiful, calm, magical watercolor work now. I adore my watercolor hummingbirds on translucent paper. I can never stick with one medium. I have more to share. Soon!
